TikTok Shop UK appeal rejected: next checks

If a TikTok Shop UK appeal was not approved, start with the live rejection reason and the action shown in Seller Centre. This guide helps sellers compare that reason with their original notice and evidence; it does not confirm that another appeal is available.

Synthetic report excerpt

Issue-specific mini report

Finding to test: The rejection may identify a specific evidence or explanation gap; it does not by itself establish that another appeal is available.

Evidence to verify: The original notice, submitted response, current rejection reason, affected enforcement reference and any next action or timing displayed in the live ticket.

Synthetic example only. It does not describe a customer case, establish a deadline or appeal right, or predict an outcome.

Read the rejection as a new evidence question

Keep the original notice, the appeal you submitted, the status shown now and the stated reason together. Check which shop, listing, order or account the rejection refers to, and record the deadline and actions displayed in that live ticket.

“Appeal rejected”, “Appeal not approved” and similar labels should be read in the context of the screen that uses them. Do not assume that a status label means the same route, deadline or next step for every UK seller, creator or violation type.

Make an evidence delta before submitting anything else

An evidence delta is the specific difference between what the rejection says was missing, inconsistent or unsupported and what you can truthfully verify. It is not a request to rewrite the same argument more forcefully.

  • Quote the exact rejection reason and identify the original enforcement it answers.
  • Separate a factual error in the notice from a document, date, account, SKU or explanation gap.
  • Check whether each proposed document is complete, legible, unedited and connected to the affected UK shop or listing.
  • Check whether your explanation matches the document and the issue, rather than making a broader claim.
  • Remove duplicate, irrelevant or sensitive material that TikTok has not asked for.

If no new, relevant fact or evidence exists, do not present the same package as though it answers the rejection. A correction may be appropriate only where the live notice permits it and the stated defect is real; it is not a substitute for an appeal route.

Check the live surface before assuming another appeal exists

TikTok Shop's UK Seller Performance Evaluation Policy says sellers may make a maximum of one appeal for an enforcement action. The same published policy also refers to first and second appeals. That is a published contradiction, and this page does not resolve it into a general entitlement or prohibition.

Use only the appeal action, deadline and attempt information displayed for your own enforcement. If the live Seller Centre ticket offers another action, assess it against the rejection reason and any new material. If it does not, do not infer that a different form, support contact or another shop creates a further appeal.

The 80-day and 15-day figures apply only to seller IP appeals

TikTok Shop's UK intellectual-property appeal guide states that a seller may have a first IP appeal within 80 days and a second IP appeal within 15 days after a rejection. Those figures belong to that IP seller guide, not to all TikTok Shop UK enforcement or all rejected appeals.

The same IP guide states that a creator has one appeal opportunity within 80 days. A different guide located in the creators area describes an “Appeal not approved” status and a target response time of 7 working days. That creator guidance is not a universal seller deadline, seller service level or promise of a further review.

Choose the issue-specific page, not a generic second-appeal script

If the original notice was about intellectual property, match the rejection to ownership, authorisation, sourcing or error evidence; see the UK intellectual-property evidence guide. If it was account-level, use the live account notice and the UK account-suspension checklist.

For product quality, listing or associated-account issues, do not borrow IP timing or creator language. The relevant notice and issue-specific route determine what can be checked next. The UK deadlines and evidence page keeps the published figures in their stated contexts.

Synthetic example: a useful evidence delta

Illustrative example only — not a seller record, template or finding. A seller receives an IP appeal rejection. Their first submission included an invoice for physical stock, but the notice concerns use of a brand image. Before taking any action, the seller compares the rejection with the invoice and sees that the invoice does not grant image rights.

They do not resend the invoice as if it answered that point. They check whether a current authorisation that specifically covers the image use exists, or whether the listing assets should be corrected if the live notice allows it. The example does not predict an outcome or confirm another appeal option.

Avoid these mistakes after a rejection

  • Assuming every UK seller has a second appeal because another policy or issue mentions one.
  • Using the 80-day and 15-day IP seller windows for account, product-quality or listing enforcement.
  • Treating the 7-working-day creator guide as a response promise for sellers.
  • Re-uploading the same evidence without answering the stated gap.
  • Creating, editing or overstating documents, dates, permissions or corrective actions.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Does a rejected TikTok Shop UK appeal always get a second appeal?

No. The UK Seller Performance Evaluation Policy contains conflicting wording about one appeal and first/second appeals. Follow only the option and timing shown in the live enforcement ticket; this guide does not confirm another attempt.

What should I do differently after an appeal is rejected?

Read the stated reason, compare it with your original notice and submission, and identify a specific factual or evidence gap. Submit only through a route displayed for the case, with material that directly addresses that gap.

Do 80 days and 15 days apply to every rejected UK appeal?

No. TikTok Shop's UK IP guide gives those windows for seller IP appeals. Different issue types and roles can have different rules, and the live notice controls.

Will TikTok Shop reply to a seller appeal within 7 working days?

No universal seller response time is published here. The 7-working-day target appears in a guide situated under creators and should not be treated as a seller-wide promise.
